Contemporary Nonstick

Featuring a hard-anodized exterior and nonstick interior, Calphalon
Contemporary Nonstick combines durability and performance with fast clean-up
and easy low-fat cooking. Designed to fit your style of cooking, living and
entertaining, each versatile vessel accommodates several different cooking
techniques. Many feature two loop handles, for convenient cooking both on
the stovetop and in the oven, as well as beautiful presentation at the
table. Contemporary Nonstick long handles stay cool on the stovetop for
hours of comfortable cooking. Sparkling glass-and-stainless covers give you
a clear view of simmering soups and sauces, too.

    Before You Cook

•

Wash your new pan and cover
in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry.

•

      Do not season your pan
before using it. To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon
cookware, keep it scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your pan
      can cause foods to stick.

    Cooking With Calphalon
    Nonstick Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon
cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made
of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat setting
for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference

    In general, we recommend:

•

      High heat for boiling or
      reducing liquids only.

•

      Medium to medium-high heat
for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•

      Low heat for warming food,
      simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking Oils and Sprays
With nonstick cookware, the cooking surface doesn't determine the amount of
fats you use to cook. You can use very little or no added oils at all. Or
you can use as much butter or oil as you like. You decide --that's the
    beauty of nonstick.

So, use oils or fats for added crispness, color, or flavor, if you like. For
a golden color and crisp texture with hash browns, pancakes, and sautéed
meats, apply a thin coating of butter or margarine. You may also wipe a thin
film of canola, olive or other oil over the cooking surface.

    Utensils
Use only plastic, coated, or wood utensils to protect your pan's nonstick
finish. Calphalon offers a complete line of nylon cooking utensils developed
especially for use with nonstick cookware

    TIP
DO NOT
use metal utensils, sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers
to cut, chop, release or whip foods in any nonstick pan. Such use can damage
the nonstick finish and void your Lifetime Warranty.

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the pan at the
temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum
control for the cooking process. The pan is properly preheated when the rim
    is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the pan faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing,
stir frying, or preparing an omelettes, preheat at medium to medium-high.
This will make sure your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place
    it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel, lower
    the heat and begin again.

You can do the butter test even if you don't want to use it as a cooking
medium, simply wipe it out with a paper towel and use the medium of your
    choice, or none at all.

    Heat cooking oils

Whether you are using a hard-anodized, stainless, copper or nonstick pan, it
is important to heat the butter or oil to the right temperature.
Add oil or butter and allow to heat a minute before adding food. Preheating
brings the pan and oil or butter to the right temperature so the food
surface sears immediately. It also keeps foods from sticking in
    hard-anodized pans.

Fats and oils work in various temperature ranges. Use the type of oil or fat
    called for in the recipe.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Shorter handles, higher
cooking temperatures and longer cooking times can cause handles to get hot,
especially Hard-Anodized products. Cool V long handles on Infused Anodized
and Commercial Hard Anodized dramatically reduce heat conduction along the
handle allowing for more comfortable cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use

Nonstick pans are oven safe to 450°F. Nonstick pans are not approved for
broiler use, which will damage the nonstick surface of the pan.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Handles will become very hot
in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when
    removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning

    Nonstick surfaces

    Wash with hot, sudsy
water and a dishcloth. Please note, pans with a stainless exterior
and nonstick interior can go into the dishwasher. However, hand washing is
    recommended.

Hand wash your cookware thoroughly inside and out after every use.
Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth. After sautéing or
frying, we recommend cleaning nonstick pans with a Dobie pad and
a recommended nonabrasive cleaner (see below) to remove any food residue.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Dish liquids intended for hand-washing such as Dawn or
Joy. (Do NOT use dish detergents made for use in the dishwasher for
    hand-washing purposes.)

    • Soft Scrub with bleach, Bon Ami

    Recommended Cleaning Pad

    • Dobie pad

    DO NOT USE

    Abrasive cleansers or cleaning
pads, oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda,
automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners
    used for floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a
hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

    TIP

    If eggs and other foods
begin sticking, even after following preheating and butter test
instructions, it's a sure sign that grease and food residue have built up on
the cooking surface. Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended
    cleansers.

    Lifetime Warranty

    Calphalon Commercial Nonstick
cookware, Contemporary Nonstick cookware and Commercial Nonstick Bakeware
are covered by our Lifetime Warranty. And Simply Calphalon Hard-Anodized
Nonstick is covered by our 10-Year Warranty. Calphalon will repair or
replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to
normal household use and cared for according to instructions. Minor
imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight color
    variations are normal.
This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning,
overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other unapproved cleaners,
neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in commercial
    establishments.

	What is Calphalon One Infused
Anodized ?

If performance is paramount to you, then Calphalon One Infused Anodized is
    the ideal cookware choice.

The smooth metal surface of Calphalon One Infused Anodized delivers superior
results when searing and browning. Steaks, chops and chicken develop
beautiful caramelized texture on the outside while they stay moist and juicy
on the inside. Sautéed meats, poultry and vegetables build up rich, even
color and luscious flavor as they cook. And with Calphalon One Infused
Anodized cookware, you get lots of tasty bits for deglazing--the critical
ingredient for rich, delicious pan sauces. Also, no need to worry when
    cooking fish, crýpes and other foods that tend to tear when you turn them;
the infused anodized surface of Calphalon One cookware gives you more
control, no matter what you're cooking- foods lift without tearing.

Designed for flexibility, Calphalon One cookware is built to withstand high
temperatures without warping. It's the one cookware you need for stovetop,
oven and broiler cooking. Triple riveted handles stay cool during stovetop
    cooking, too.

    Before You Cook

•
      Wash your
new Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10 Piece Set and cover in hot, sudsy
      water. Rinse and dry.

•
      Do not
season your Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10 Piece Set before using it.
To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon cookware, keep it
scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your Calphalon One Infused Anodized
10 Piece Set can cause foods to stick.

       Cooking
    With Infused Anodized Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would.
Calphalon cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because
it's made of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat
setting for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference.

    In general, we recommend:

•
      High heat
for boiling or reducing liquids only.

•
      Medium to
medium-high heat for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•
      Low heat
for warming food, simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking
    Oils and Sprays

A small amount of oil, butter, or margarine is all you need for easy food
release when you follow these basic steps:

•
      Take
foods out of the refrigerator and allow them to rest on the counter about
10 minutes before cooking. Placing chilled food in a heated pan causes
      sticking, even in stick-resistant pans.

•
      Preheat
the Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10 Piece Set and oil properly (see
      Stove-Top Use).

•
      Use the
proper temperature to cook (see Heat Settings).

    Utensils

Feel free to use any utensils on Calphalon One Infused
Anodized, including metal, wood and nylon. Do not use sharp
instruments or appliances such as electric mixers to cut, chop, or whip
    foods in the pan.

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the
    Calphalon One
Infused Anodized 10 Piece Set at the temperature setting you'll use to cook.
Preheating provides maximum control for the cooking process. The
    Calphalon One Infused Anodized
    10 Piece Set is properly
preheated when the rim is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10 Piece Set
faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing, stir frying, or
preparing an omelette, preheat at medium to medium-high. This will make sure
your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel,
lower the heat and begin again.

You can do the butter test
even if you don't want to use it as a cooking medium, simply wipe it out
with a paper towel and use the medium of your choice, or none at all.

    Heat cooking oils

When searing our sautéing, a small amount of butter or oil is all you need.
Your recipe may call for more; if so, we recommend you follow the recipe.
Allow the oil to heat for a minute before adding food to the pan. Do not use
aerosol cooking sprays with Calphalon One Infused
Anodized. These sprays contain a chemical propellant that is difficult to
remove from cookware. To keep cooking oil to a minimum, try using a mister
filled with your favorite olive oil. Alternatively, dab a bit of oil on a
paper towel and carefully wipe the bottom of the pan.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Shorter handles, higher
cooking temperatures and longer cooking times can cause handles to get hot,
especially Infused Anodized products. Cool V long handles on Calphalon One
Infused Anodized dramatically reduce heat conduction along the handle
    allowing for more comfortable cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use

Infused anodized pans can be used in the oven and under the broiler.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Handles will become very hot
in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when
    removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning

    Do not clean
    Calphalon One Infused
    Anodized cookware in a dishwasher.
Dishwasher detergents will damage the surface. Dishwasher use will
    void your Lifetime Warranty.

Hand wash your cookware thoroughly inside and out after every use.
Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth or sponge.

To restore your pans to "like new" condition, wash with a green Scotch Brite
pad and Bar Keeper's Friend. Pay special attention to rinsing
    when you use

    Bar Keeper's Friend;
without careful rinsing, the cleaner may occasionally leave a powdery soap
    film.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Bar Keeper's Friend

    Recommended Cleaning
    Pad

    • Scotch-Brite

    DO NOT USE

    Oven cleaners or other caustic
cleaning solutions, baking soda, automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid
bleach, liquid household cleaners used for walls, floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a
hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

For stubborn burnt-on spots, allow your pan to cool then
soak in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes. Burnt-on foods will lift off after
    soaking.

To restore shine to stainless steel covers, wash with a
dish cloth or sponge and Bar Keeper's Friendâ.

Because Calphalon One is hand-crafted cookware, you
may notice subtle variations in the pans' finish. These "character lines"
are perfectly normal -a natural result of the manufacturing process.

    TIP

    If eggs and other foods
begin sticking, even after following preheating and butter test
instructions, it's a sure sign that grease and food residue have built up on
the cooking surface. Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended
    cleansers.

    Lifetime Warranty

    Calphalon One
Infused Anodized cookware is covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Calphalon
will repair or replace any item found defective in material or workmanship
when put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions.
Minor imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight
color variations are normal. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such
as improper cleaning, overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other
unapproved cleaners, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in
    commercial establishments.

Also, no need to worry when
    cooking fish, crýpes and other foods that tend to tear when you turn them;
the infused anodized surface of Calphalon One cookware gives you more
control, no matter what you're cooking- foods lift without tearing.

Designed for flexibility, Calphalon One cookware is built to withstand high
temperatures without warping. It's the one cookware you need for stovetop,
oven and broiler cooking. Triple riveted handles stay cool during stovetop
    cooking, too.

    Before You Cook

•
      Wash your
new Calphalon One Infused Anodized 8 Piece Set and cover in hot, sudsy
      water. Rinse and dry.

•
      Do not
season your Calphalon One Infused Anodized 8 Piece Set before using it.
To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon cookware, keep it
scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your Calphalon One Infused Anodized
8 Piece Set can cause foods to stick.

•
      Preheat
the Calphalon One Infused Anodized 8 Piece Set and oil properly (see
      Stove-Top Use).

•
      Use the
proper temperature to cook (see Heat Settings).

Infused Anodized 8 Piece Set at the temperature setting you'll use to cook.
Preheating provides maximum control for the cooking process. The
    Calphalon One Infused Anodized
    8 Piece Set is properly
preheated when the rim is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the Calphalon One Infused Anodized 8 Piece Set

    Bar Keeper's Friend;
without careful rinsing, the cleaner may occasionally leave a powdery soap
    film.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Bar Keeper's Friend

    Recommended Cleaning
    Pad

    • Scotch-Brite

    DO NOT USE

    Oven cleaners or other caustic
cleaning solutions, baking soda, automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid
bleach, liquid household cleaners used for walls, floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a
hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

For stubborn burnt-on spots, allow your pan to cool then
soak in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes. Burnt-on foods will lift off after
    soaking.

To restore shine to stainless steel covers, wash with a
dish cloth or sponge and Bar Keeper's Friendâ.

Because Calphalon One is hand-crafted cookware, you
may notice subtle variations in the pans' finish. These "character lines"
are perfectly normal -a natural result of the manufacturing process.

    TIP

    If eggs and other foods
begin sticking, even after following preheating and butter test
instructions, it's a sure sign that grease and food residue have built up on
the cooking surface. Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended
    cleansers.

    Lifetime Warranty

    Calphalon One
Infused Anodized cookware is covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Calphalon
will repair or replace any item found defective in material or workmanship
when put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions.
Minor imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight
color variations are normal. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such
as improper cleaning, overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other
unapproved cleaners, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in
    commercial establishments.

	Calphalon One Nonstick

Calphalon One Nonstick represents a revolution in nonstick durability. The
interior surface features a proprietary matrix of four interlocking nonstick
layers, each of which contributes to the cookware's long-lasting
performance. Calphalon One Nonstick delivers flawless food release, even
with the stickiest foods. There's no need to use added fats when cooking
with Calphalon One Nonstick, so low-fat cooking is a breeze. By means of an
exclusive anodization process, the exterior surface of Caphalon One Nonstick
cookware is infused with an advanced polymer that prevents staining. So
clean-up is effortless, both inside and out. For nonstick convenience,
exceptional durability and easy clean-up, it's the one nonstick you need in
    your kitchen.

    Before You Cook

•

Wash your new pan and cover
in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry.

•

      Do not season your pan
before using it. To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon
cookware, keep it scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your pan
      can cause foods to stick.

    Cooking With Calphalon
    Nonstick Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon
cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made
of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat setting
for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference

    In general, we recommend:

•

      High heat for boiling or
      reducing liquids only.

•

      Medium to medium-high heat
for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•

      Low heat for warming food,
      simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking Oils and Sprays
With nonstick cookware, the cooking surface doesn't determine the amount of
fats you use to cook. You can use very little or no added oils at all. Or
you can use as much butter or oil as you like. You decide --that's the
    beauty of nonstick.

So, use oils or fats for added crispness, color, or flavor, if you like. For
a golden color and crisp texture with hash browns, pancakes, and sautéed
meats, apply a thin coating of butter or margarine. You may also wipe a thin
film of canola, olive or other oil over the cooking surface.

    Utensils
Use only plastic, coated, or wood utensils to protect your pan's nonstick
finish. Calphalon offers a complete line of nylon cooking utensils developed
especially for use with nonstick cookware

    TIP
DO NOT
use metal utensils, sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers
to cut, chop, release or whip foods in any nonstick pan. Such use can damage
the nonstick finish and void your Lifetime Warranty.

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the pan at the
temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum
control for the cooking process. The pan is properly preheated when the rim
    is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the pan faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing,
stir frying, or preparing an omelettes, preheat at medium to medium-high.
This will make sure your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place
    it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel, lower
    the heat and begin again.

You can do the butter test even if you don't want to use it as a cooking
medium, simply wipe it out with a paper towel and use the medium of your
    choice, or none at all.

    Heat cooking oils

Whether you are using a hard-anodized, stainless, copper or nonstick pan, it
is important to heat the butter or oil to the right temperature.
Add oil or butter and allow to heat a minute before adding food. Preheating
brings the pan and oil or butter to the right temperature so the food
surface sears immediately. It also keeps foods from sticking in
    hard-anodized pans.

Fats and oils work in various temperature ranges. Use the type of oil or fat
    called for in the recipe.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Shorter handles, higher
cooking temperatures and longer cooking times can cause handles to get hot,
especially Hard-Anodized products. Cool V long handles on Infused Anodized
and Commercial Hard Anodized dramatically reduce heat conduction along the
handle allowing for more comfortable cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use

Nonstick pans are oven safe to 450°F. Nonstick pans are not approved for
broiler use, which will damage the nonstick surface of the pan.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Handles will become very hot
in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when
    removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning

    Nonstick surfaces

    Wash with hot, sudsy
water and a dishcloth. Please note, pans with a stainless exterior
and nonstick interior can go into the dishwasher. However, hand washing is
    recommended.

Hand wash your cookware thoroughly inside and out after every use.
Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth. After sautéing or
frying, we recommend cleaning nonstick pans with a Dobie pad and
a recommended nonabrasive cleaner (see below) to remove any food residue.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Dish liquids intended for hand-washing such as Dawn or
Joy. (Do NOT use dish detergents made for use in the dishwasher for
    hand-washing purposes.)

    • Soft Scrub with bleach, Bon Ami

    Recommended Cleaning Pad

    • Dobie pad

    DO NOT USE

    Abrasive cleansers or cleaning
pads, oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda,
automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners
    used for floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a
hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

	Calphalon One Nonstick

Calphalon One Nonstick represents a revolution in nonstick durability. The
interior surface features a proprietary matrix of four interlocking nonstick
layers, each of which contributes to the cookware's long-lasting
performance. Calphalon One Nonstick delivers flawless food release, even
with the stickiest foods. There's no need to use added fats when cooking
with Calphalon One Nonstick, so low-fat cooking is a breeze. By means of an
exclusive anodization process, the exterior surface of Caphalon One Nonstick
cookware is infused with an advanced polymer that prevents staining. So
clean-up is effortless, both inside and out. For nonstick convenience,
exceptional durability and easy clean-up, it's the one nonstick you need in
    your kitchen.

    Before You Cook

•

Wash your new pan and cover
in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry.

•

      Do not season your pan
before using it. To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon
cookware, keep it scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your pan
      can cause foods to stick.

    Cooking With Calphalon
    Nonstick Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon
cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made
of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat setting
for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference

    In general, we recommend:

•

      High heat for boiling or
      reducing liquids only.

•

      Medium to medium-high heat
for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•

      Low heat for warming food,
      simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking Oils and Sprays
With nonstick cookware, the cooking surface doesn't determine the amount of
fats you use to cook. You can use very little or no added oils at all. Or
you can use as much butter or oil as you like. You decide --that's the
    beauty of nonstick.

So, use oils or fats for added crispness, color, or flavor, if you like. For
a golden color and crisp texture with hash browns, pancakes, and sautéed
meats, apply a thin coating of butter or margarine. You may also wipe a thin
film of canola, olive or other oil over the cooking surface.

    Utensils
Use only plastic, coated, or wood utensils to protect your pan's nonstick
finish. Calphalon offers a complete line of nylon cooking utensils developed
especially for use with nonstick cookware

    TIP
DO NOT
use metal utensils, sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers
to cut, chop, release or whip foods in any nonstick pan. Such use can damage
the nonstick finish and void your Lifetime Warranty.

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the pan at the
temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum
control for the cooking process. The pan is properly preheated when the rim
    is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the pan faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing,
stir frying, or preparing an omelettes, preheat at medium to medium-high.
This will make sure your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place
    it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel, lower
    the heat and begin again.

You can do the butter test even if you don't want to use it as a cooking
medium, simply wipe it out with a paper towel and use the medium of your
    choice, or none at all.

    Heat cooking oils

Whether you are using a hard-anodized, stainless, copper or nonstick pan, it
is important to heat the butter or oil to the right temperature.
Add oil or butter and allow to heat a minute before adding food. Preheating
brings the pan and oil or butter to the right temperature so the food
surface sears immediately. It also keeps foods from sticking in
    hard-anodized pans.

Fats and oils work in various temperature ranges. Use the type of oil or fat
    called for in the recipe.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Shorter handles, higher
cooking temperatures and longer cooking times can cause handles to get hot,
especially Hard-Anodized products. Cool V long handles on Infused Anodized
and Commercial Hard Anodized dramatically reduce heat conduction along the
handle allowing for more comfortable cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use

Nonstick pans are oven safe to 450°F. Nonstick pans are not approved for
broiler use, which will damage the nonstick surface of the pan.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Handles will become very hot
in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when
    removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning

    Nonstick surfaces

    Wash with hot, sudsy
water and a dishcloth. Please note, pans with a stainless exterior
and nonstick interior can go into the dishwasher. However, hand washing is
    recommended.

Hand wash your cookware thoroughly inside and out after every use.
Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth. After sautéing or
frying, we recommend cleaning nonstick pans with a Dobie pad and
a recommended nonabrasive cleaner (see below) to remove any food residue.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Dish liquids intended for hand-washing such as Dawn or
Joy. (Do NOT use dish detergents made for use in the dishwasher for
    hand-washing purposes.)

    • Soft Scrub with bleach, Bon Ami

    Recommended Cleaning Pad

    • Dobie pad

    DO NOT USE

    Abrasive cleansers or cleaning
pads, oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda,
automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners
    used for floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a
hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

    TIP

    If eggs and other foods
begin sticking, even after following preheating and butter test
instructions, it's a sure sign that grease and food residue have built up on
the cooking surface. Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended
    cleansers.

    Lifetime Warranty

    Calphalon Commercial Nonstick
cookware, Contemporary Nonstick cookware and Commercial Nonstick Bakeware

This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning,
overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other unapproved cleaners,
neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in commercial

    Cooking With Calphalon
    Stainless Steel Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon
cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made
of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat setting
for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference

    In general, we recommend:

•

      High heat for boiling or
      reducing liquids only.

•

      Medium to medium-high heat
for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•

      Low heat for warming food,
      simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking Oils and Sprays

A small amount of oil, butter, or margarine is all you need for easy food
release when you follow these basic steps:

•

      Take foods out of the
refrigerator and allow them to rest on the counter about 10 minutes before
cooking. Placing chilled food in a heated pan causes sticking, even in
      stick-resistant pans.

•

      Preheat the pan and oil
      properly (see Stove-Top Use).

•

      Use the proper temperature
      to cook (see Heat Settings).

    TIP

    DO NOT use aerosol
cooking sprays in any Calphalon cookware. Sprays leave a gummy residue that
is difficult to remove completely. This residue causes food to stick, even
    in nonstick cookware.

    Utensils

You may use metal whisks, spoons, spatulas and other non-sharp metal
utensils. They will not harm the stainless steel surface. HOWEVER,
do not use sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers to cut,
chop, or whip foods in any pan. Such use can scratch the pan, especially
when it's heated. (All metals become softer when heated.)

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the pan at the
temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum
control for the cooking process. The pan is properly preheated when the rim
    is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the pan faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing,
stir frying, or preparing an omelettes, preheat at medium to medium-high.
This will make sure your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place
    it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel,
lower the heat and begin again.

    Contemporary Stainless

Now, style-conscious home chefs with taste for all things modern have a new
line of cookware to call their own: Calphalon Contemporary Stainless.
Calphalon Contemporary Stainless is the first cookware to bring stunning,
contemporary design into the home kitchen. Crafted from lustrous, brushed
stainless steel and featuring clean lines and curvaceous silhouettes,
Calphalon Contemporary Stainless expresses the very soul of modern style.
Along with sophisticated style, Calphalon Contemporary Stainless delivers
the professional performance you expect from all Calphalon cookware. A full
aluminum core, sandwiched between the stainless steel interior and exterior
of each pan, provides superb conductivity and even heating throughout the
vessel. So you'll enjoy fabulous results on the stovetop, in the oven and in
the broiler. Handles stay cool and comfortable on the stovetop and glass
covers make it easy to keep an eye on what you're cooking. Calphalon
Contemporary Stainless is also dishwasher-safe for easy clean-up.

    Before You Cook

•

Wash your new pan and cover
in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry.

•

      Do not season your pan
before using it. To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon
cookware, keep it scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your pan
      can cause foods to stick.

    Cooking With Calphalon
    Stainless Steel Cookware

    Heat Settings

Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon
cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made
of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's also important to use the right heat setting
for the cooking method you're using (not too high or too low).

Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove. No two stoves work
alike. Determine where the settings work best for your stove. You may want
to write them down for future reference

    In general, we recommend:

•

      High heat for boiling or
      reducing liquids only.

•

      Medium to medium-high heat
for sautéing, stir frying, and frying.

•

      Low heat for warming food,
      simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

    Cooking Oils and Sprays

A small amount of oil, butter, or margarine is all you need for easy food
release when you follow these basic steps:

•

      Take foods out of the
refrigerator and allow them to rest on the counter about 10 minutes before
cooking. Placing chilled food in a heated pan causes sticking, even in
      stick-resistant pans.

•

      Preheat the pan and oil
      properly (see Stove-Top Use).

•

      Use the proper temperature
      to cook (see Heat Settings).

    TIP

    DO NOT use aerosol
cooking sprays in any Calphalon cookware. Sprays leave a gummy residue that
is difficult to remove completely. This residue causes food to stick, even
    in nonstick cookware.

    Utensils

You may use metal whisks, spoons, spatulas and other non-sharp metal
utensils. They will not harm the stainless steel surface. HOWEVER,
do not use sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers to cut,
chop, or whip foods in any pan. Such use can scratch the pan, especially
when it's heated. (All metals become softer when heated.)

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the pan at the
temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum
control for the cooking process. The pan is properly preheated when the rim
    is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the pan faster. For cooking techniques such as sautéing,
stir frying, or preparing an omelettes, preheat at medium to medium-high.
This will make sure your food begins cooking properly as soon as you place
    it in the pan.

    TIP: The Butter
    Test

    Heat the pan over medium
to medium-high heat. When the rim of the pan is hot-to-the-touch, rub a
teaspoon of butter over the inside of the pan. When the butter begins to
bubble briskly (it should not brown), it's ready for the ingredients. If the
butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
Carefully wipe the burned butter out of the pan with a paper towel,
lower the heat and begin again.

    The exclusive Calphalon
Cool VTM long handle design keeps handles cool to the touch
    during stovetop cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use

Stainless steel pans can be used in the oven and under the broiler. Tempered
glass covers are oven safe to 450°F.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

    Handles will become very hot
in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when
    removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning

Hand-washing stainless steel surfaces with hot sudsy
water and a Dobie Pad is recommended. However, stainless steel is
dishwasher safe. See below for other recommended cleansers.

    Recommended Cleaners

    • Dish liquids intended for hand-washing such as Dawn or
Joy. (Do NOT use dish detergents made for use in the dishwasher when
    hand-washing.)

    • RADIANCE from Calphalon

    • Penny Brite, Bon Ami,

    Barkeeper's Friend

    Recommended Cleaning Pad

    • Dobie pad

    DO NOT USE

pads, oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda,
automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners
    used for floors, porcelain, etc.

Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended
    cleansers.

      High heat for boiling or

	What is Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless?

Tri-Ply Stainless combines the beauty of stainless steel with the superior performance of aluminum. Interior and exterior layers of surgical-quality stainless steel surround an inner core of highly-conductive, heavy-gauge aluminum. The aluminum core is not only on the bottom of the pan, but continues up the sides of the pan to spread heat evenly and respond to temperature changes quickly. The softly brushed, stainless interior provides clear visual clues when cooking and naturally masks signs of wear. And the mirror-polished exterior provides the brilliant look stainless lovers admire. Our ergonomic Cool V handle design provides superior balance and feel, and vents heat away from long handles, keeping them touchably cool on the stove-top. Domed, tempered glass covers let you monitor cooking at a glance, and they recirculate moisture and nutrients back into food.

Cooking With Calphalon Stainless Steel Cookware

•
      Preheat
the Calphalon One Infused Anodized Fry Pan and oil properly (see
      Stove-Top Use).

•
      Use the
proper temperature to cook (see Heat Settings).

    TIP
DO NOT use aerosol cooking sprays in any Calphalon cookware. Sprays leave a gummy residue that is difficult to remove completely. This residue causes food to stick, even in nonstick cookware.

    Utensils

You may use metal whisks, spoons, spatulas and other non-sharp metal utensils. They will not harm the stainless steel surface.HOWEVER,do not use sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers to cut, chop, or whip foods in any pan. Such use can scratch the pan, especially when it's heated. (All metals become softer when heated.)

    Stove-Top Use

    Preheating

When sautéing, stir-frying or frying, always preheat the
    Calphalon One Infused Anodized
Fry Pan at the temperature setting you'll use to cook.
Preheating provides maximum control for the cooking process. The
    Calphalon One Infused Anodized
    Fry Pan is properly
preheated when the rim is hot-to-the-touch.

    Do not preheat on high
to heat the Calphalon One Infused Anodized Fry Pan

Whether you are using a hard-anodized, stainless, copper or nonstick pan, it is important to heat the butter or oil to the right temperature. Add oil or butter and allow to heat a minute before adding food. Preheating brings the pan and oil or butter to the right temperature so the food surface sears immediately. It also keeps foods from sticking in hard-anodized pans.

Fats and oils work in various temperature ranges. Use the type of oil or fat called for in the recipe.

    PLEASE REMEMBER
The exclusive Calphalon Cool VTM long handle design keeps handles cool to the touch during stovetop cooking.

    Oven & Broiler Use
Stainless steel pans can be used in the oven and under the broiler. Tempered glass covers are oven safe to 450°F.

    PLEASE REMEMBER

Handles will become very hot in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt to prevent burns when removing pans from the oven.

    Cleaning
Hand-washing stainless steel surfaces with hot sudsy water and a Dobie Pad is recommended. However, stainless steel is dishwasher safe. See below for other recommended cleansers.

    Recommended Cleaners
• Dish liquids intended for hand-washing such as Dawn or Joy. (Do NOT use dish detergents made for use in the dishwasher when hand-washing.)
• RADIANCE from Calphalon
• Penny Brite, Bon Ami, Barkeeper's Friend

Recommended Cleaning Pad

• Dobie pad

    DO NOT USE

Abrasive cleansers or cleaning pads, oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda, automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners used for floors, porcelain, etc.

Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.

    TIP

If eggs and other foods begin sticking, even after following preheating and butter test instructions, it's a sure sign that grease and food residue have built up on the cooking surface. Clean thoroughly, referring to the recommended cleansers.

    Lifetime Warranty

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless and Tri-Ply Stainless cookware is covered by our Lifetime Warranty and Simply Calphalon Stainless is covered by our 10-Year Warranty. Calphalon will repair or replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions. butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
